Non-surgical management. of unruptured ectopic pregnancy has been reported by several workers in order to preservation of tube and further fertility.
We-have treated six patients with unruptured tubal pregnancy of 7T3_9+4 weeks gestation by intrafallopian injection of prostaglandin F2?(lmg) via transcervical balloon catheter.
After transcervical balloon tuboplasty. six patients were followed by serum ?HCG determination under 5mIU/ml. This procedure is nonsurgical, simple. cost effective as well as avoid of toxicity of previous methotrexate treatment.
The results were as follows
1) Four of 6 patients resulted in decrement of serum ?-HCG level and showed 66.7% of success rate.
2) One of 6 patients failed during procedure.
3) One of 6 patients resulted in increment of serum -HCG level due to pregnant at remnant site of previous salpingectomy.
4) Mean regression time of serum ?-HCG under 5mIU/ml was 29.5 days.
5) Side effects were not observed in any of the patients.
